Jennifer Potter - Intellectual Property Operations Director - Dassault Systemes



Jennifer Potter received her BA in Psychology, with a minor in Computer Science, from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.  She is also a certified Project Management Practitioner (PMP).  Jennifer has been in the Rhode Island software industry for 25 years, working in software operations roles including software testing, tool development, quality assurance, project management, and intellectual property operations.

For the past 23 years she has worked for Dassault Systemes (DS). She worked on projects that have been instrumental in helping DS become a leader in engineering simulation software. Today, she is the Director of Intellectual Property Process & Operations. She has a strong interest in encouraging STEAM careers, especially for women, and has represented DS at career events across the state.

Shannon Shallcross, M.S. - CEO - BetaX Analytics

Jeanne Boyle - Director Of Commerce  - City of Pawtucket



Jeanne Boyle serves as the Director of Commerce for the City of Pawtucket and is charged with the City’s economic development efforts, administering economic and job creation programs, and assisting in the attraction of new businesses and the retention of existing businesses.

Don Grebien - Mayor - City of Pawtucket



Mayor Don Grebien was elected as a Pawtucket City Councilor-at-large, Don served 11 years on the council from 1997 to 2008, including a term as council president, and was involved with reviewing the city budget and special panels to promote the arts and permits for new businesses. A lifelong Democrat, he was elected Mayor on November 2, 2010 on the platform of “A New Direction,” reelected in November 2012, 2014 and 2016.

In his first term as Mayor, he resolved a current-year deficit of over $12 million inherited halfway through that fiscal year, reduced costs, worked on shared services between departments as well as with the schools and the city. Tino Chow founded Giant Shoulders because he believes that creativity and collaboration can disrupt the status quo for the better. AJ Perez - CEO - MIT Fellow



AJ (Alfonso) Perez is the General Manager of Cincinnati Incorporated’s NVBOTS business unit. AJ was previously the Chairman, CEO, and Founder of New Valence Robotics Corporation (NVBOTS), an MIT 3D printing spin-off that invented automated 3D printing, cloud 3D printing, and ultra-high speed multi-metal 3D printing (spun off to form Digital Alloys). AJ holds a BS '13 in Mechanical Engineering and Masters of Engineering in Advanced Manufacturing '14 from MIT. His academic interests, lectures, and research focus on mechanical design, manufacturing processes automation, robotics, and entrepreneurship. AJ has developed and taught several classes during his career. Most recently, he co-developed the first graduate level 3D printing / Additive Manufacturing class for the department of Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. 

AJ is the final Lemelson-MIT Inventor Fellow, was selected as one of Boston Globe’s 25 under 25, and won the prestigious Lemelson-MIT “use it” student prize.  AJ is the primary inventor on 30+ inventions in the fields of additive manufacturing, mobile manufacturing, industrial IoT, and surgical devices. Carsten Eickhoff - Assistant Professor - Brown University



Carsten Eickhoff is an assistant professor of medical and computer science at Brown University. He leads the biomedical AI Lab, specializing in the development of data science and information retrieval techniques with the goal of improving patient safety, individual health and quality of medical care. He received his training in artificial intelligence and machine learning in Germany, Scotland, the Netherlands and Switzerland. Carsten has authored more than 70 conference and journal articles on topics pertaining to automatic large-scale text processing and retrieval as well as information extraction from unstructured natural language resources.

Aside from his scholarly interest in artificial intelligence, Carsten is a serial tech entrepreneur that is involved in multiple clinical AI startups translating research innovation into products.



Mark Huang - Co-Founder Managing Director - SeaAhead



Mark Huang was recently Providence’s Economic Development Director, where he focused on the Innovation ecosystem and developed an Urban Food strategy. Prior to his work in Providence, Mark, as a co-founder, led the formation of Novus Energy Partners, a US-Norwegian cleantech VC fund, which was later followed by Tolero Ventures. Prior to that, Mark was with GE for 10 years and as a Senior Vice President of GE Energy Financial Services he co-led the effort to re-start GE’s cleantech venture investing efforts. In the maritime sector, Mark has worked in shipbuilding and as a naval architect. Mark also served for 13 years as an officer in the US Army Reserves. David Marble - CEO - OSHEAN



David Marble is the President and CEO of OSHEAN Inc. in North Kingstown, Rhode Island.  David brings over 30 years of experience in technology companies.  He is experienced in operations planning, budget development and management as well as technical planning and project management.  David is also Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Northeast Research and Education Network (NEREN) and The Quilt (The National REN coalition).

David was the co-founder and director of operations of the Association for Authentic, Experiential and Evidence-Based Learning (AAEEBL). AAEEBL established affiliations and collaborations with nearly all worldwide ePortfolio initiatives and cultivated membership of over one hundred academic institutions. He is also the founding member of MetaLearning, a strategic consulting group working in the use of technology for advanced learning environments.  From 2001- 2007, David was the Chief Operating Officer and VP of Business Development for TAZZ Networks working in policy networking and prior to that was VP of Optical Networks for Lucent.
